In Your Hands – Compost/Soil

Over the course of the week young people learn new skills in traditional crafts within professional artist’s studios in East London. Together they will explore the values of their environment, using letterpress printmaking, ceramics and painting at Standpoint Studios and it’s local Great Outdoors. The project is in collaboration with Phytology medicinal garden in Bethnal Green, where the group will go on a field trip on one of the days.

Participants (aged 8 – 14 years) will engage with the process of making by experimenting with the nature of the material to develop new skills within a professional environment. All craft activities will be delivered by experienced artist educators.

Young people will take home their artwork after a final display to families/parents/carers at Standpoint Gallery.
